A Good Deal

I had a heck of a time getting a replacement part for my car recently. There are a couple ways of viewing it. One way says I got a heck of a deal and the other way casts some doubt. It was a fun sketch to think out.

I once had to find a small plastic part on a vacuum line to get my 71 Pontiac to get it to pass the visual inspection for smog in California about 10 years ago. I figured no problem. Should be easy and cheap. Wrong. I could not find it anywhere including the major parts companies that specialize in old cars. I eventually found the part that only 2 known companies carried. I called them up and after transferring $50 from my account to mine I received a part that probably cost 50 cents when new.
