Pepper Harvest

So far this summer I've had two batches of these chili peppers, a.k.a. Anehiem or banana pepper. It's not my German heritage that got me into these things. I guess I've adopted them. It's not universal for the household, either. Wilma can tolerate them in small doses. That's meant preserving them in small portions so I can play with them for Saturday lunches, etc. My favorite is to make a smothering sauce to serve over burritos we buy as fund raisers for school kids around here. For as good as these peppers are I have yet to run across another person who grows them and processes them. Can't figure it out.

Very nice page layout and drawing. I can't believe the students sell burritos to fund raise. That sure beats the candy bars around here.

Lovely page, John, and what a great idea! I don't care for the real hot stuff either, maybe J. could freeze things in single servings!

Great page! I love how you described the entire process and how your wife gave you the idea for her silicone pan. My son wants to make the recipe you shared. lol. He loves chili peppers. The drawings are awesome.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah great spread, they look so yummy and innocent!!! I like them in small amounts, and being raised in the West I love Mexican cuisine (but not too hot) this is a great all round solution!

Oh I like your garden sketches better than mine! I've been making a lot of zuchinni bread, got carried away again this year. :D
