Another Spring Break, Pre-Trip

Time for Spring Break again. We decided to head down south again to pursue warmer weather. Arkansas this time. Wife and I, daughter and boyfriend. We'll catch some day hikes and three of us will do an overnight backpack trip while Wilma lounges in a cabin. Sounds like a plan.

Hey John - I'd thought you'd died or something since you weren't blogging for a month! Have a great trip and come back with lots of drawing ideas.

Hello, Barbara. You noticed the absence. Figured you would. For some reason I just didn't get sketching done this month. Don't know why.

I'd volunteer to carry the one on the right while sitting in the passenger seat, reading some good novel or new art book---that's the extent of how much help I'd be on such a trip. It does sound fun, tho---and I like that the preperations include making granola---hope you let us know what those place were like--so we can go vicariously to places we'd never see otherwise. Bon Hikeage !

Sounds like fun - but I'd be in the cabin with Wilma! My DH, DS, and DDIL all love to camp and backpack, but I'd rather have running water and flush toilets, thank you very much. LOL!!!

But I'm looking forward to hearing about (and seeing) your trip when you get back. Have a great one!

Ok... you should be back by now... so where's the 'Post trip' drawings and musings? I love your style. This southern girl went NORTH to Va and SNOW... we took our Jeep, I don't hike :-)

OK, I'll admit I'm back now (Capt Elaine) and I'm working on the sketching. Too many people and things to do to sketch during the trip :( but I have enough pictures to base sketches on. Stay tuned. Loved the trip.
