Rodent Wars

Well, it's that time of year. Rodents attack us so I attach them. War. They've invaded our garage and the Taurus. Today I washed the Taurus, removed back seat, vacuumed the mouse turds and nesting material, and shampooed the cloth interior. The darkened mouse piss wasn't fun to wash off the seats, but at least it didn't penetrate into the seats. It cleaned up well. I know . . . TMI (too much information), but this is my daily life. Can't figure out why they got into the car, though. It's spotless with no food source. Maybe they just like Fords.

Maybe they just expected you to give them a ride... !Not to worry, not too much information, just fun to read it and appreciate your sketch! Well done!

Now that we don't have cats anymore we see the little critters scampering around (including chipmunks). I agree with Martine - I think they wanted to take a nice fall vacation, the poor dears. Really nice spread, as always. nancy

Ewwwwww - I know all too well about these vermin - Some time ago we even had a squirrel nest in the attic! Unfortunately, with no cat for the first time, we will be battling more than ever.

Yes, that's your problem, a dog instead of a cat. In the barn I have 12 calico cats, said to be the best hunters of the feline kingdom. Not a mouse, mole, or vole and, unfortunately, sometimes an occasional rabbit or robin escape them.

Glad you can find humor in your situation! We live near water, so there are spiders everywhere. It is not uncommon for them to "attach" our cars in the driveway to the house during the night, or to make intricate cobwebs all over our side mirrors (they like to live in the mirrors). *shudder* Good thing you journaled about it...

When we lived in Ozawkie, the mice used to eat the insulation off the wiring under the hood and cause short circuits in the electrical system... I love hearing about that part of Kansas, I left a little piece of my heart there! Thanks for the memories

We have a large empty field behind our house and they started coming indoors. Oh, yuck!

I know about them critters! Dad has them in Smithville! Everywhere! Traps or pee, that's the choice! Nicely done! Yes, we're neighbors, close enough, anyway!
