Last weekend I spent time sitting on our front porch in the great weather. I was lucky enough to see some bird drama play out, and actually be a part of it. Couldn't believe it! Making a journal entry gave me the incentive to go through a bird book we have and do some web research to identify the bird family and understand more of their life cycle and characteristics. Fulfilling. It's a little wordy, but their story should be told. It ain't easy being a bird.

What a story... and what a great journal page!
I am glad you helped... here's hoping that bird fledges soon and is saved :) I'd root for the mockers against snakes ANY time!
I love your illustrated journal page with all its news and drama and fun drawings.
Your journal is simply a treasure for all!
I love your journal pages - what a memento they will be.
These are beautiful pages you are doing - well set out, interesting text and visually alluring too - isn't drawing/sketching fun!
Great story and your journal pages were inspiring! I rarely post but hope it's OK to send you a photo I took this week of a Powerful Owl in our backyard tree.
I love your sketch journal pages! Excellent work!
I also just began sketching when the kids headed off for college (plus one in the Navy). Isn't it a great way to record daily memories? And someday these will be very precious to your children.

Delightful! Wonderful journal page :)
Your journal is just fabulous! You must have a lot of fun doing it.
Thanks for reminding me of this entry, I thought I had read all your pages! This is a wonderful account and the birds should be grateful to you for saving at least one baby!
